Ok look, i am worried sick right now. i am that, and nervous with meeting the doctor tomorrow, plus all the tests and exams they're going to do on me. i've done my research. I may be late to see the doctor now. my condition may have already gotten beyond worse. omg omg omg. almost five months of not menstruating is PURE BAD. i need to breathe. aaahhhhhh..
Anyway, this was what i found.
A wide variety of factors can be responsible for irregular periods, among them(the ones highlighted is what i believe maybe my problem:
Significant weight gain or loss
Over-exercise
Poor nutrition (or a diet too high in carbohydrates)(ok, far too much of carbo. eg kentang, french fries, huge amount of nasik)
Smoking (sisha)
Drug use
Caffeine(lots of starbucks)
Excessive alcohol use (interfering with how the liver metabolizes estrogen and progesterone)
Eating disorders(i did control my diet. crash diet)
Increased stress (for obvious reasons)
Polycystic ovarian syndrome/estrogen dominance
Uterine abnormalities (fibroids/cysts/polyps/endometriosis)
Hormonal imbalance related to perimenopause
Medications
Chemotherapy
Recent childbirth, miscarriage, or D&C
Breastfeeding
what they're going to do on me:
- Have a complete physical, including evaluations of thyroid function and blood pressure. Also, a complete blood count (CBC) test is quite important for the diagnosis of anemia.
- A pelvic exam is critical to rule out any uterine abnormality, a cervical polyp or fibroid, or a uterine infection. These are less common causes but should be considered. Often an ultrasound will be required to evaluate the uterus, the ovaries and the fallopian tubes. Ultrasound of the uterus is useful and painless — you may already be familiar with this technique from pregnancy. If infection is a concern, antibiotics will be prescribed.
- If you are trying to become pregnant, consult with a fertility specialist or a qualified ob/gyn practitioner for further testing
Ok, so i did more reading. & it certainly shows that i covered like 3/4 of the reasons why im irregular. Ok i know im being tense. I cant help it ok. oh god.
